I have decided on my genre.  I am choosing to execute the mystery genre. I chose this because I feel like it embodies my pitch the best. So, I don't think anything should be changed on my pitch. Perfect! Now... to what inspired me to choose this genre it is quite a story. I came across this mysterious story on TikTok which was offsetting.  The story was about a girl who would not stop creating the biggest lies to her friends until they found out the truth. It was bizarre. A few days passed by and I was talking with my friend on the bus. We were talking about the normal gossip when she told me something that sounded familiar. It gave me this sense of deja vu which is when I realized where I heard this story before. It was the same story of a girl lying to her friends and them finding out. I am not sure if this is a common occurrence nowadays, but it is weird. That is basically my inspiration for the mystery. Why would someone want to spew out such lies that they know they could get

   The third genre I am most interest in would have to be horror. Horror films usually have like this weird dim lighting I don't know how to describe it but it is always giving you this weird vibe. They also contain these scary non-diegetic sounds that build up suspense for jump scares. A few common settings in horror films are new homes, the woods or abandoned places. For props there is usually weapons and such that the characters use to defend themselves or the predator uses it to scare their victims. For costume the good characters are usually wearing regular clothing such as a t-shirt and jeans. the bad or scary character usually wears something like a doll outfit if it is a girl. For the makeup, there sometimes could be blood or like the character can have a deformed face.  For sound there is always something falling or moving whenever everything gets quiet to show that something scary is going on.    Another genre I am interested in is romance because it is my favorite one to watch. I have noticed that a lot of romance movies none-diegetic sound such as osts that have love related lyrics and a vibe to it. Like whenever a butterfly in your tummy type scene comes up they usually start playing the music. They tend to have soft lighting to try and showcase the purity of love and so it can melt your heart sort of. There also tends to be a lot of 2 shots in romance films because the plot most likely is based around 2 actors who are the main couple in the film. There can also be a secondary couple that are usually best friends with the main couple. An example of romance movies would be The Notebook and 20th Century Girl. A lot of romance films are always filmed in school or workplace settings. Probably to make the viewers relate to it or something based on the ages of the cast. For costume and makeup the female role is usually dressed really pretty with nice natural makeup. If the love

  One of the genres that interest me is mystery. I did some research to see what elements I should put in my film to give it that feel. Some common camera angles in the mystery genre would be birds eye view, close up, pan and reverse shots. Mystery movies are also known for having dark like scenes and setting to give it that feel. As well as using minimal makeup to give the actors a relatable look, so we can relate more to them. They often also include weapons as props such as knifes and guns. Non diegetic sounds are used in the editing of the movie to give it the mysterious feel. They use like eerie sounds to build suspense. Some mystery films are Parasite, Shutter Island and Scream. The thing I like about this genre is that you sometimes never know what will happen next it keeps you wondering what the next scene will be like.  I really enjoy films that are like that. Pitch A: A girl lies to her friends about being in a relationship and they find out later on. Pitch B: A girl always talks about her friends about the guy she talks to online till later then  she finds out he is a catfish.      Honestly, I believe Pitch A has a better chance of being my final decision. This is due to it being more well thought out and actually has a decent plot twist. As compared to Pitch B I believe that the plot twist is expected, so it will not have much of a plot twist effect. A con for Pitch A might be that I won't have enough actors because I only have two actors at the moment I don't think it'll do my story justice. Compared to Pitch B I have the perfect amount of actors.      I think my final decision for my pitch will be Pitch B. I believe it'll be a bit more of a challenge, but at the same time, I think it'll be fun to act out certain scenes. I hope to have fun, show my creative side and acting skills with the pitch I have chosen.

Honestly, I kind of wanted to work with someone on my final task this year, but I am not able to. Honestly, I am not close with any of the A levels in my class or the other class periods. I would want to try to ask to be in someone's group, but I feel like everyone already has their clique so that would be hard for me. There is one person I would want to ask because they look lonely, but I don't want to be a bother. I have a hard time interacting with others in big groups which is a problem. It is okay though not everything has to be done with others. Sometimes you can most likely be better off on your own. I know people who stopped being friends in the middle of their filming. They then had to film in a very awkward atmosphere to finish their task. I most certainly do not want to be in a position like that in the future. Also, if I manage to work all by myself in AS level I am sure I can also thrive on my own this year on my final task. I think I am pretty good at getting stuf

Well... here we are again. I decided to keep continuing A.I.C.E Media Studies. Honestly I am glad to be back this class gives me an excuse to be creative, try new things and learn about a new side of media I thought I would never learn. I am excited yet scared to start my project, but I am sure it'll all go well. This year has been my best school year so far I am actually getting pretty good grades and understanding the material I am being taught. I have been working on improving myself a lot. I really hope my efforts end up paying off in the end. To be honest I feel lost on what to actually type on my blog it has been quite a while I have done this. I hope to get the hang of it quicker, so I can post quality blogs. I want to assure that in A level I do really well. last year, my blogs were sloppy and made no sense. I even decided to not do the final C.C.R which was 30% of my score. It was a miracle I passed and that I am here today. Since I was given this opportunity I want to mak
