The product I mostly promoted in the music video would be ice cream. I feel like it send a bright and cool message to the audience. It is most affective towards people who want to watch and hear something with a trendy vibe. The music video could be distributed in popular music social media accounts. For example, there are twitter accounts with huge followings that specialize in informing followers on new music video launches or artist achievements. It would be nice for it to posted on there because it'll reach a lot of people.  I feel like I developed a better skill on identifying different camera angles and shots. I learned how to make the clips transition a bit more smoother, but still not to perfection. To edit, I used a free editing app called cap cut. It is pretty easy to use. It helped me edit the audio in the ending to smoothly transition as a fade out. Overall, I feel like I did a bit better in this project. I hope to be at my peak for the next one.

my music video woot woot

I feel like I could have done better honestly. I am happy with how the editing turned out. There is a few awkward parts. I hope you enjoy my music video. I put some thought into it. I tried hard to recreate the same vibe as the actual music video.

production blog - the final cut

The moment has come I finally get to edit. First and foremost, I had to change everything of the setting because it was a rainy day. So, we had to improvise and it was getting very late. We got it done though. I just have to remix the song to fit 1 minute. As much as I would have loved to do the whole song, I only have limited time. I have a bit of a problem though because i feel like I didn't record enough clips. I was seriously on a time crunch. I will make it work though. I was thinking of editing 2 audios together to add a dance break. I scratched that Idea because knowing me I will never learn a dance in a few hours. For editing i pretty much cut the clips. I then put them in an order which I believe fit the song part the most. I'm honestly not so sure if i did enough to get a good grade. I did make sure to put the pan and tilt i think. I did different shots as well.  All in all the editing did not turn out too bad. It was a bit more difficult than the commercial. My comme

after so many changes, hardships and time guess what? We finally started filming. We did many scenes the day went pretty well. My friend had invited me to this K-pop random dance play. I used this opportunity to ask her if we could film right after. The event was help in a park which was perfect for the music video setting.  We both wore christmas theme outfits due to the event’s dress code. I guess it kind of threw off the vibes of the music video, but we made it work. After we finished dancing to all the songs, we started to plan out the filming. We had a place in the park where we wanted to film. We went to go buy some ice cream in the park shop and went on to filming. I honestly did not think i would ever get this done. I was on an extreme time crunch. Luckily this event came in handy. Most important of all my friend was a huge help because she could drive me there and she already knew the song I used because it’s from her favorite artist. All this made everything so much easier

production blog - change of actors

Image
So I have come to another conclusion that there will be a change in actors. Originally I wanted for my 3 school friends to be in the music video with me. 1 of my friends isn't really around as much neither does she have much time available to see each other at school. I figured she shouldn't be an actor in my music video since she does not have to much time on her hands. With the 2 friends I have remaining it isn't easy to film after school because we always do service hours after school and don't end up getting home around 6 pm. At that time, it is dark due to daylight savings. At times daylight savings can be a blessing and a curse. In this case I consider it as a curse because it doesn't allow me to film during later hours. So it you haven't figured it out already working with the original cast won't be cutting it. I have decided to give the role to my other friend. It'll be more beneficial for me. My friends lives much more closer to me. The setting

So, now that I agreed to use the ice cream song by black pink to film my music video I wanted to start recording. I decided to do it after school with my friends. When the bell rang we went to the environmental club to do our service hours. After we finished we went to 7/11 (gas station store) to get some snacks because we're usually starving after school. We started walking back while eating. We then decided to film the intro on the side walk. We played the intro in the background, so we can have an idea for how long we had to record the intro. As we were recording we realized all the errors that were going on. The sun was making the lighting a bit bad for some reason. My friend who was acting with me also had a whole different outfit concept on then i did. She was dressed in street style while I had on a soft girl style. This already was throwing off everything. You can't just film a music video while having the actors not have outfits with a similar vibe. Especially when th

production blog - change of song

Hey it is me again things have been a bit busy, but it is all good. I have decided to change my song once and for all. I really wanted to do a K-pop song, but I don't think I have time for that at all. I have limited time to start filming, editing, studying for midterms, and homework. If I were to do a music video for a K-pop song like I was going to I would have to edit a 1 minute video with subtitles. I feel like if i do that the people who grade my music video will be really distracted while watching my music video. I believe the graders only watch the music video once. Knowing this they will probably not be able to dissect my music video as well as they would be able to when watching something in english without subtitles. The song I decided to choose in the end is from a K-pop group named Black Pink. The song is name Ice Cream and it includes a feature of Selena Gomez. I think the song has a nice refreshing beat. The lyrics are nice and cute, but I feel like If people are mor

Honestly, I was pretty prepared to do this mv but now? not so much I feel like I am running out of time. I have no time for anything I wake up everyday on weekdays at 5:00 am to take the bus for school. I get out at 2:40 pm. On days like Tuesdays and Wednesdays I stay after school doing service hours and don't get home till 6:00 pm. On the other weekdays I come home and do some homework, but I can't drive anywhere to film the music video. I have no friends that live nearby either. Also, my mom comes home at 5 pm and my dad comes home about 7-8 pm. So I cannot have them in my music video since they come home from work everyday exhausted. On the weekends I spend my time until 5:00 pm taking care of my 3 year old brother. Since there's nobody else. This really doesn't leave me with any appropriate time to go to the filming places I planned to go to with my friends to film my music video. So, I feel like I am at a disadvantage here, but as I am typing this I thought of a so
