short film research: The Vision (mystery)

 I chose the mystery short film The Vision for my 4th research. This short film was about a boy minding his business when all of a sudden he gets a concerning voice message from his walkie-talkie. It was his friend who was in danger. This was all going on during a stormy night so, he had to wait till the next day to go see what happened to his friend. When he arrived at the forest he saw his friend's items scattered through the floor. He kept walking until he saw his friend who was about to get hit by a truck. He ran quickly towards his friend to wake him up until all of a sudden... He woke up from a dream. This made the reader assume it was a dream until the paranoid kid decided to talk to his friend on the walkie-talkie to make sure he was fine. Then, that is when he heard his friend in danger just like the dream he had. Again, this short film walks you through different clues building suspense. This is why I think props will be important to build suspense letting the viewer know they are getting closer to the root of the mystery. The setting also added to the eerie mysterious factor of the short film due to it beginning with thunder and loud rain in the background. I think these are nice factors to think of when doing my short film which will definitely help me.

 Hello, I am back. To make some more progress on the film I will be creating soon very soon I wanted to do some research. This is to ensure that I have the right idea for this short film and don't end up making any silly mistakes. Since my genre will be a mystery I will make sure to research a bit on that topic. First, I am going to make sure I have my project organized before jumping into anything else like filming for example. I want to have each scene, dialogue, props, and costumes well thought out, so there won't be much problem in anything being wrong with those elements in my short film. CCR - The End

  CCR My short film showcased the way mentally ill liars can affect others in society. This sheds light on liars in society which it isn’t really much reflected on. The main character in the short film would not stop lying about her life experiences to her previous friend group. People like this in society are not seen as good people. You can never know whether they are lying or not. This caused a rather untrustworthy feeling towards her causing them to feel different about her. Which is understandable because being friends with someone who can never be honest with you is rather exhausting. It was to the point where they had to stop being friends with her. This can be related to real life problems where people in the media constantly lie about their lifestyle for attention, but then it is then revealed that they actually never lived that way.
