production blogs - a few tweaks here and there

Hey, blog! We are continuing with the rough patches the unexpected happened while trying to ask if we could film another day in the bookstore. So, this made me realize that I wouldn't be able to do a lot of the scenes I wanted to have in my film. I won't let that make me give up on my short film I just have to try again. I plan on tweaking up a few scenes of my short film as well as some of the original plot. I don't plan on changing the plot too much it'll keep going in the same direction. One of the things I am changing is the scene that was going to be filmed at the bookstore. I had not realized that the store actually did not allow people to record in-store. We actually got in trouble for filming our scene there. I am going to take this as a learning experience and do more thorough research of what I am doing in my project. I didn't think there would be a problem filming there since my friend filmed her opening sequence in the same location and she did not get in trouble for it. Things happen for a reason, I just have to find a way around it. That was the only bookstore near me so, it'll have to be a different location. I decided to shift my film where instead of the characters talking at the bookstore they are on the phone with each other. This will make it easier since I don't have much transportation to film. Also, I had to work a way around there not being the amount of actors I expected there to be. One of my other friends is not able to film during the days we'll be filming. I am going to revise a few angles and actors in the short film, so we can work around the missing actors. Despite the setbacks and extra work, I think I'll do okay.
